Ok Ocean County, Here Comes The Snow and We Have The Latest

We are just about 48 hours away from seeing this latest winter storm move into the Garden State and it's our big story as rumors of snow totals are abound. Seems everyone has a "forecast" of their own.

Our very own Dan Zarrow is being honest and saying that this is a tricky storm with still a lot of uncertainty. This storm could produce heavy snow for some with others seeing little to none. Here is Dan's latest forecast...

***A POWERFUL COASTAL STORM WILL PASS JUST OFF-SHORE TOMORROW NIGHT INTO SATURDAY... THERE IS STILL CONSIDERABLE UNCERTAINTY IN THE FORECAST, WITH SNOWFALL SCENARIOS RANGING FROM "HARDLY ANYTHING" TO "BURIED"... THE MOST REALISTIC SNOWFALL FORECAST SHOWS MONMOUTH COUNTY PICKING UP 4 TO 8 INCHES AND MUCH OF OCEAN COUNTY GETTING 6 TO 12+ INCHES OF ACCUMULATION***

I am asking the question "could we see blizzard-like conditions in SOME spots?" here is the definition of a blizzard ... The National Weather Service defines a blizzard as "a storm with large amounts of snow or blowing snow, winds greater than 35 mph (56 kph), and visibility of less than ¼ mile (0.4 km) for at least three hours. ... Blizzard conditions usually build up on the northwest side of a powerful storm system."

Looking at that definition and looking at our forecast, to me it appears SOME spots in New Jersey could see blizzard-like conditions. This storm could be a real pain for SOME. Just depends on where you live, but currently, it looks like coastal Ocean County could be one area that sees the most from this storm...but as we know things along the ocean can change so stay with Dan Zarrow and his forecast through the weekend, not only snow but bitter cold this weekend as well for the Jersey Shore.
