Ocean Ride is Open and Has Been Open Through Covid-19

Ocean Ride has been open through the pandemic transporting the most vulnerable during Covid-19.

Ocean Ride has been serving and helping the seniors, persons with disabilities, and residents of Ocean County throughout the pandemic. Ocean Ride wants you to know they are OPEN. Ocean Ride is here for you in Ocean County.

Each vehicle is wiped down with disinfectant and fogged. Drivers wear masks and gloves and have hand sanitizers on the vehicles. The Drivers have been tremendous in keeping their valuable seniors and residents safe.

In April, in the midst of the pandemic, Ocean Ride implemented a "Free Fare Month", thanks to Ocean County's Board of Chosen Freeholders. All trips were free to help seniors and disabled residents impacted financially because of Covid-19. For “Reserve-A-Ride” the Call Center takes your reservation. Seniors 60+ and/or persons with disabilities can utilize this by calling 732-736-8989. Ocean Ride has two basic services "Reserve-a-Ride" and "Fixed Bus Routes". "Reserve-A-Ride" takes reservations for Seniors 60+ and for persons with disablitlies.

Ocean Ride offers free trips to various Veterans Administration medical facilities for our Ocean County Veterans such as Brick, East Orange, Lyons, Marlton, and Philadelphia. For Brick, call 732-736-8989 and all others call the Veterans Services at 732-929-2096.

Ocean Ride has a new location sponsored by the Board of Chosen Freeholders. Their new location: 2820 Rideway Boulevard in Manchester.
