An Ocean Township man is being charged with attempted murder and weapons offenses after firing multiple shots at another man on Sunday night, announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni.
26-year old Tanner Koch, who was briefly at large and on the run, turned himself into Ocean Police on Monday night.
The target of the shooting was uninjured but what sparked the incident is unknown.
Koch is charged with one count of first degree Attempted Murder, one count of second degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose and one count of second degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
Ocean Police received a 911 call around 5:07 p.m. Sunday and promptly responded to 330 Elberon Avenue in Oakhurst for shots fired.
Officers made contact with the victim who made the 911 call.
The investigation determined that after a dispute with the victim, Koch fired several rounds at the victim’s vehicle and at the victim as he ran away.
Koch turned himself in to Ocean Township Police Department on Monday evening.
He remains detained at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold.
