I was there when Great Adventure opened in July of 1974 and have enjoyed the park ever since. Even though I am not a big ride fan at this point lol, I still love enjoying the park and seeing the sights.

I also love the Looney Tunes characters that I grew up with, like Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, and of course, Bugs Bunny.

What Iconic Part Of Six Flags Great Adventure Is Getting A Makeover?

Seeing the restoration of the Runaway Train now is great. Runaway Train has always been a great part of the park and brings back lots of memories.

Back when Six Flags Great Adventure opened, Runaway Train was one of the rides that helped put the park on the map. Over the years, it became one of those classic coasters that generations of families remember riding. Now, more than 50 years later, bringing it back is a great way to celebrate those memories and ensure this piece of Great Adventure history remains for future visitors to enjoy.
