NJ’s First Mascot Race – Who Will Win?

New Jersey has a lot of fun mascots, the NJ Devil, Buster from the Lakewood Blueclaws, Shadow from Monmouth University, and more. Have you ever wondered what would happen if they all had to compete against one another?

On November 2nd, that will become a reality at the Battle of the Mascots - New Jersey's first-ever mascot race! Your favorite mascots will compete against one another in an obstacle style course, that will happen before RWJBarnabas Health's 'Running with the Devils 5k Run and Walk.'

Here is the full mascot lineup:

  • NJ Devil (New Jersey Devils)
  • Buster (Lakewood Blueclaws)
  • Scarlet Knight (Rutgers University)
  • Sparkee (Somerset Patriots)
  • Tiger (Princeton University)
  • Boomer (Trenton Thunder)
  • Shadow (Monmouth University)
  • Pirate (Seton Hall University)
  • Myrtle the Turtle (Turtle Back Zoo)

The event will take place at 8:30 am at the Essex County South Mountain Recreation Complex in West Orange. The 'Running with the Devils 5k Run and Walk' will start at 9 am. Click here for more information and to register.
