Mitch Little has had a 39-year police career and will be retiring. According to Patch, "Little's last day, after a 39-year career, is set for this Friday, August 23rd." Mitch was Toms River Police Chief for 11 years.

I had the privilege of working with Mitch and his team with the Toms River Police for many years and consider him a great leader and friend. Mitch was kind enough to let me do several special assignment stories with the Police including setting sail with the Toms River Marine Police Unit. Training with the Police Canine Units. Being a part of the annual Jingle Bell 5K Run with TRPD and even running the race, still sore by the way. I will miss Mitch and wish him lots of great times with his family and friends.

If you would like to thank Chief Little and wish him well feel free to post comments below.

THANK YOU CHIEF LITTLE
