It was a tragic day yesterday (Saturday) in Newark, New Jersey. A shooting incident that took place left a young woman and a child dead and three others with gunshot wounds.

According to an article from NJ.com, "A 10-year-old boy and a 21-year-old woman died from their injuries after being rushed to University Hospital, according to a statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office."
In addition, the three others who were shot include an 11-year-old boy, 19 year 19-year-old man, and a 60-year-old man. According to authorities, those three victims were last listed in stable condition.
According to reports, the gunfire erupted around 7 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Chancellor Avenue and Leslie Street. A few hours afterward, officials announced a reward for any information about the incident.

The prosecutor’s office said that the Essex County Crime Stoppers Program is offering as much as $10,000 to anyone who provides information that helps lead to an arrest in the case.
