This Is A Great Place To Walk This Summer in NJ

Since the pandemic, we have become more aware of the importance of getting outdoors and getting sun (vitamin D) and exercise, and one of the best ways for us to accomplish these goals is simply to walk. Walking may be the best way for "all" people to get the exercise they need without the risk of injury that other sports may bring.

This summer, Love Exploring did an article that featured the "best" coastal walks in America, and New Jersey made the list. This is not surprising considering how beautiful the Jersey Shore is and how many miles of coastline we have to enjoy. "America’s coastline views vary from sparkling white beaches to bluffs battered by dramatic, crashing waves, with quiet coves, limestone cliffs, and ancient forests along the way."

The selection for New Jersey that made the "best" list in the nation is known for its boardwalk, Wildwood, New Jersey. Wildwood (boardwalk) was named as New Jersey's "best" coastal walk.

According to Love Exploring, "Wildwoods on the Jersey Shore is pure Americana, and so is a stroll along its 2.5-mile boardwalk. It’s grown quite a bit from its initial 150-yard length in the late 19th century, and even moved closer to the ocean twice as the shoreline shifted."

So if you are looking to explore and get in your steps this summer get to the Wildwoods and walk the boards. There are tons of things to do along the Wildwoods Boardwalk so enjoy and get the vitamin D and exercise on New Jersey's "best" coastal walk, one of the "best" in America.
