New Jersey has more lightweights than the majority of the nation. That means more than 50% of the United States could drink us under the table — not cool!

The holidays are right around the corner, and with the holidays comes an excess of alcohol — but not for New Jerseyans, according to a survey by alcohol.org, "we wanted to learn more about how tolerance levels vary across the nation."

A survey released by the website indicates that New Jerseyans are lightweights and get tipsy after the first few beers that they consume, "We ran a survey of Americans from every state, asking them how many beers in one sitting it typically takes for them to start feeling drunk," the website says.

The survey was based on beers with an average of 4.5% of alcoholic content. So we're talking about a Corona Extra (4.6%), Miller Lite (4.2%), or Coors Lite (4.2%).

The survey finds that 27.5% of the New Jersey respondents get drunk after one beer, like the ones listed above. The study also goes on to mention that 38% of the respondents in Montana get tipsy after one beer, making that them the Official Lightweights of America
