Those big, bright yellow sunflowers are putting on one of their happiest shows of the year, and for the next couple of weeks, you can find fields of them blooming across the Garden State.
They're beautiful, cheerful, incredibly photogenic and honestly, it's pretty hard not to smile when you're standing in the middle of a sunflower field.
What Is It About a Sunflower
Maybe it's the bright yellow petals. Maybe it's the way they seem to follow the sun. Or maybe it's simply impossible to look at a field filled with hundreds of towering sunflowers and not feel a little happier.
And right now, New Jersey farms are giving us one more reason to get outside before summer completely gives way to fall.
