Parts of New Jersey Could See Snow Heading Into Tuesday
As we head into December here in the Garden State, we could see our first real visit from Old Man Winter. Parts of New Jersey could see a "plowable" snow heading into Tuesday. Not all of the state will see snow, though; it depends on where you live.

How Much Snow Does New Jersey See In December?
New Jersey’s December snowfall is usually on the lighter side of winter, but the amount can vary depending on where you are in the state. On average, New Jersey sees around 5.4 inches of snow during the month, though coastal and southern areas often end up with much less, sometimes barely an inch, while northern and more inland regions usually get a bit more.
December also isn’t typically the peak of winter snow here, as bigger storms and heavier accumulation generally come later in January and February.

A recent report from NJ.com said part of New Jersey could see some snow heading into Tuesday, December 2nd.
"Northwestern New Jersey could get 2 to 7 inches of snow on Tuesday, with the highest amounts expected in Sussex County. Much of the state should stay warm enough for heavy rain to fall through the day. AccuWeather.com and National Weather Service."
Sussex County has a winter storm watch issued by the National Weather Service. This affects Sussex County from Monday Night through Tuesday Evening.
"The latest forecast calls for 4 to 7 inches of snow in Sussex County, especially at higher elevations. Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are possible at times."
The National Weather Service added, "Areas just southeast of Interstate 78, including portions of Warren, Hunterdon, and western Morris counties, could see 2 to 5 inches of snow before transitioning to rain."
Townsquare New Jersey Chief Meteorologist Dan Zarrow will have more on this week's forecast.
