New Jersey Residents Rank Their Home State Shockingly High
New Jersey has its positives and negatives and New Jerseyans sure love to complain about the state's negatives.
I have always been a cheerleader for my home state. I have been to 39 states and I have yet to find one I would rather live in.
Sure, it's expensive...but to me, it is well worth it.
I turned to Facebook to see what my fellow New Jerseyans thought of their home turf.
I was pretty surprised by the results.
Once I hit post on the question, I assumed I would have been met with a barrage of negative comments.
I would see comments about just how expensive the state is, how corrupt the state is, and just how terrible the state government is.
Yes, I did get plenty of comments along those lines.
What I wasn't expecting was to see the other New Jerseyans love their home state just as much as I do.
I had only asked to rate New Jersey between one and ten, so I was shocked to see people rate New Jersey with a solid eleven.
"11... born, raised, and retired... now at the beautiful Jersey shore!" - Lois K.
This brought a smile to my face.
I broke out my handy dandy calculator to find the average rating from all of the comments we received, including those who rated New Jersey with a big fat zero.
The average rating of the good 'ol Garden State is a 7.21! (This is with one person rating New Jersey a -10...rude!)
See, I told you it was pretty shocking.
I figured it would be below a 5.
