New Jersey Police Seize Possibly The Most Expensive Teddy Bear In America
Police Seize A Teddy Bear in Edison Stuffed With $650,000
It sounds like a plot in a movie, but police in New Jersey have seized a teddy bear, and this may have been the most expensive "Teddy" in America. What made this bear so expensive was that it was stuffed with over half a million dollars!

According to a recent Patch article, police seized the pricey bear in Middlesex County. "After a yearlong undercover investigation, Edison Police's Vice Unit discovered $600,000 in cash sewn inside a giant stuffed teddy bear during a raid, authorities said."
It must have been a large teddy bear to fit $600,000 inside the teddy. It sounds like something you'd see on the silver screen. This however, is an actual crime scene and Edison Police discovered the pricey bear during their investigation.
According to Patch, "The coordinated raids targeted Bliss Spa, an illicit massage parlor located at 2595 Woodbridge Avenue, and the residence of its manager and de facto owner, Daniela Diienno, resulting in the arrest of five people and more than $750,000 in seized assets". The raid took place on Thursday, May 8th.
It makes you think, where have you stashed money? The old "under the mattress" spot? Have you buried money in your backyard? These are just some of the popular places to hide money in the past, but the "teddy bear" case is definitely a unique spot to stash the cash.
Where have you stashed the cash? Wanna share your spot? Post your comments in the comments section.
According to Patch, Edison Police Chief Tom Bryan said, “The amount of cash seized and the elaborate concealment methods used show just how sophisticated and profitable these illegal operations can be. We will continue our efforts to rid our community of these establishments.”
