Usually Greg Dailey is delivering newspapers, however lately he has become a "grocery angel" for many of his elderly costumers.

Dailey began with one of his senior costumers who needed some groceries because it was difficult to get out during the quarantine here in New Jersey during the Coronavirus crisis. It has expanded to many on his route. Dailey's main business is his shop "Frames on Main" in Chatham....but now he is seeing a lot of time helping neighbors during this pandemic.

According to an NJ.COM article,  Dailey's service has become a family affair, with his wife Cherlyn, his three kids .... Erin, Sean and Brian along his mother-in-law Carol all involved. What a wonderful idea to help those most at risk, our home bound seniors.

I check in on my parents several times a week to make sure they are stocked up, have to admit my Mom, now in her 80's, is getting very good with online shopping and home delivery services and apps....impressive in this ever changing shopping world. My Mom also said she is taking advantage of "senior" shopping hours at several stores here in Ocean County.

In the NJ.COM article Daley said ... “Times are tough. Some of us should not be out of the house at all, they need produce....they need medicine....they need toiletries. I told one of the gentlemen, I can stop at the liquor store if you want. His eyes went wide.’”

This is the kind of Jersey' spirit we are seeing during the Coronavirus Crisis and these are the positive actions by residents that will get us through this horrible chapter in history.
