A popular family spot in Burlington County just made an unexpected announcement, saying that they will close their doors immediately.

Paws Discovery Farm in Mount Laurel made a surprise announcement on their Facebook page on Tuesday morning, saying that they will close for good this Wednesday, February 26th.

The Facebook post placed the blame on the township's failure to find a new management partner:

According to the Mt. Laurel Sun, though, local officials took issue with the characterization, saying that the operators breached a 3-year contract without warning with a strongly worded press release:

Mount Laurel Township officials are left scrambling after the Discovery Museum shockingly notified the Township that it would breach its three year contractual commitment to operate the PAWS Farm Nature Center on Hainesport-Mount Laurel Road just six months into its second three year term.

In a followup on their Facebook page, Paws Discovery Farm said that they will be open just once more, this Wednesday, offering free admission from 10 A.M. - 5 P.M.
