As part of their COVID-19 Free Testing Program, Monmouth County Freeholders announced Wednesday that they are adding a testing site to next week’s schedule at the Old Municipal Building, 316 Old Tavern Road in Howell.

They will also be increasing the number of tests administered at each Covid-19 testing site from 150 to 200 tests.

“The Board of Chosen Freeholders understands that the communities in Monmouth County require additional testing sites at this time,” Freeholder Director Tom Arnone said in a statement. “While getting tested is important, residents must also remember to practice social distancing, wear face coverings, wash their hands and stay home when they are sick.”

“The Monmouth County Health Department and Office of Emergency Management established this free testing location in Howell so more residents have the opportunity to get tested,” Freeholder Deputy Director Sue Kiley said in a statement. “The Freeholders and Health Department encourage residents to fill out the testing requisition form ahead of testing in order to expedite the process at each location.”

If you have any questions or concerns about COVID-19 and the testing sites, you can contact the Monmouth County Health Department phone bank by calling 732-845-2070 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
