Boxes will be set up for donations of items like razors, baby wipes, non-perishable snacks, sunblock and even personal thank-you notes.  They'll be packaged and sent to our military members serving overseas.  But IBEW Military Committee Chairman Patrick O'Keefe says the event doesn't just support the troops themselves.

"Their families are back here, so we have a big game, support them and let them come out and have a great night," O'Keefe said.  "You know, forget about those little things that are going on overseas."

Of course, it's the care packages that send the most powerful message.

"It goes a long way when they open up that box and they see someone still cares about them back home and is thinking about them," O'Keefe said.  "And is sending them the little things that they really can't get."

If you can't make it to the game, O'Keefe says the IBEW collects supplies for military care packages all year-round.  You can drop off your donations at their union hall, located on Highway 138 East in Wall, Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm.
