Stafford Police said that 19-year old Fiona Kaufman lost control of her 1998 Volkswagen convertible as she was driving along Route 539 near Cervetto Road around 3:37 pm leading to her striking a parked pickup truck in a driveway and then into a large tree nearby.

Kaufman suffered a head trauma in the accident, police said, and she was later flown to Atlantic City Medical Center for treatment.

Her two passengers, both juveniles, sustained minor injuries, were treated at Southern Ocean Medical Center and released.

Police said that at the time of the collision, Kaufman was not wearing a seatbelt.

The crash remains under investigation by Officer Pascale and Officer DeMarco of the Traffic Safety Bureau.

Anyone with information on the crash should call Stafford Police at 609-597-1189, extension 8436.
