Troubles for Rite Aid Pharmacies continue, and after a tough few months, the company is filing for bankruptcy, closing stores, and attempting to sell its assets. Now, amongst all these issues, the company is preparing to lay off nearly 1,100 employees here in the Garden State, according to a recent Patch article.

According to Patch, a WARN notice filed with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Rite Aid will lay off 1,122 people at unspecified locations throughout the state.
Two New Jersey Rite Aid locations are scheduled to close:
- 75 South Main Street in Neptune
- 403 Sicklerville Road in Sicklerville
The layoffs are scheduled to begin on June 4th, according to the WARN notice.
According to Patch, "Rite Aid has 60 remaining stores in New Jersey, including the two slated for closure. It's unclear if any additional locations will be shuttered."
