Manchester Police have arrested a trio found with more than $800.00 worth of heroin at a traffic stop on Route 70 in the Holly Oaks section of the township last Friday.

Members of the department’s Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of the QuickChek on Route 571.

Police then pulled the vehicle over on Route 70 for a motor vehicle violation as it left the area.

As officers conducted a search of the vehicle and its three occupants they discovered approximately 120 bags of heroin with a street value of over $800.00 as well as drug paraphernalia.

The driver, 18-year-old Devonte Laws, was charged with Possession of Paraphernalia and Marijuana Use.

The passenger, 19-year-old Roger Carter-Evans, was charged with one count each of Possession and Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Loitering to Distribute CDS, and Marijuana Use.

The passenger, 19-year-old Kyjohn Stewart, was charged with one count each of Possession and Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Loitering to Distribute CDS, and Marijuana Use.

All parties were released on summonses with a pending court date.
