Authorities say the 2004 BMW 325 was the only car involved in the crash that took place Sunday afternoon around 5:31 PM.

According to police, the car was headed south on County Route 539 when it veered onto the grass shoulder and into the pole - then continued hurtling another 200 feet before coming to rest in a nearby wooded spot.

Whiting volunteer firefighters, Quality Medical Transport and Manchester Auxiliary Police assisted at the scene.
