Man who went for a swim in the toms river ends up getting psych evaluation

A man who went for a dip in the toms river Monday afternoon is arrested for disorderly conduct.

Police tell WOBM News that 50-year old Jeffrey Munford was seen swimming in the toms river off Maiden Lane in a wet suit.

He ignored rescuers commands and was arrested a short time later on the South Toms River side of the water.

Once arrested police say it was evident that Munford was in need of a psychiatric evaluation.

He was then taken to Community Medical Center where he is being medically cleared and evaluated to determine further treatment or a release.
