Many of us are “dog” families. We love our dogs and we love all different kinds of dog breeds here in New Jersey. Some prefer small dogs while other love larger breeds. Some love the sporty breeds while others like a snuggly dog. Whatever type you love, we do love our dogs here in the Garden State.

We had two dogs while our kids grew up here at the Jersey Shore. Max was our first and he was a wonderful Bichon Frise. Anyone who has had a Bichon knows they are a fantastic family dog and their fur, which doesn’t shed, is hypo-allergenic which is another positive. Max was a perfect size and temperament for our family.

Our second dog, who is still with us today, is Dexter who is a Malti-Poo. Obviously a mix of Maltese and Poodle. Again their fur is hypo-allergenic and doesn’t not shed. As you can tell we planned this “no hair” approach lol He is also a great family dog and even as a very old man, is a snuggly pup.
