A Long Branch man is airlifted to the hospital after suffering multiple injuries in a car crash at the intersection of Route 72 and Doc Cramer Boulevard in Stafford Township Tuesday around 2:30 pm.

Police say 55-year old Robert Kreuz was heading eastbound in the left lane approaching the intersection in a 2015 Nissan Pickup Truck when he struck the back of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler at a red light.

Kreuz was airlifted to the Atlantic City Medical Center after sustaining multiple undisclosed injuries and remains in stable condition.

Sierra Callahan, 20, of West Creek, New Jersey was the driver of the Jeep and sustained minor injuries but declined medical treatment.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene and traffic was delayed for about one hour.
