Local Teacher Helps Supply Ocean County Residents During The Wildfire
Residents Coming Together During The Worst Wildfire in Two Decades In New Jersey
It has been a long week with a lot of sad news regarding the Jones Road Wildfire. No one wants to see this situation we had with the fire, and it was a stressful time for thousands of residents. It was also a long week for our first responders, who fought the fire and helped protect our neighborhoods. We are thankful for everyone who battled the blaze.

Another person, and there are many, who helped during this time of need is a local Ocean Gate resident who helped hundreds of residents and including first responders, this week during the fire.
According to App.com, "When disaster strikes, Mark Haug typically travels the country with a mini-bus and trailer loaded with thousands of pounds of food, drinks and supplies to help those who are displaced or in need of a hand."
Mark Haug of Ocean Gate brought his mobile charity unit, "Hold On, I'm Coming," and set up shop in the Waretown ShopRite on Route 9. He brings with him comfort food, drinks, charging stations, and positivity at the worst times, and he was there for Ocean County residents and first responders.
For more information about Mark's charity, call (732) 814-7247. Haug lost his home during Superstorm Sandy, and now he travels the East Coast looking to help when he can with "Hold On, I'm Coming".
Thank You First Responders
It was great to see the community come together during the Jones Road Wildfire. It is another reminder that good folks come together and help, and we saw lots of them this week here in Ocean County, THANK YOU.
