Burgers are just a Jersey thing. They’ve always been part of growing up and living here. Think about it … summer BBQs, diner runs late at night, grabbing burgers after the beach, or hanging out with friends after a game. Burgers are always part of the picture.

People in New Jersey also love talking food, and everybody seems to have their favorite burger place. Some like the little hometown spots, others love the diners, but everybody has an opinion. That’s Jersey.

And honestly, burgers just fit our style here. Nothing fancy, just good food that’s filling and easy to enjoy. Add some fries and a cold drink, and you’ve got a classic Jersey meal.

Recently, I had a chance, once again, to have some burgers at Freddy's, and they did not disappoint! Freddy's always takes me back to a traditional "burger spot" like we had when I was a kid.

Add a vanilla shake (Frozen Custard) to the "Original Double," and you have a perfect summer meal. I love having lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and Freddy's sauce on mine.

I almost forgot, add a side of their famous cheese curds, and now the meal is complete. I love their cheese curds, and if you haven't tried them, get some!
