Freezing Rain Could Affect Parts of New Jersey Tonight Into Saturday

If you have holiday travel plans in New Jersey tonight you may want to budget extra time and travel safely as part of the Garden State is under a winter weather advisory and we could see icy conditions.

According to Patch, "A Winter Weather Advisory is in store for North Jersey as freezing rain Friday night into Saturday could make for icy travel conditions, forecasters say."

 

 

Motorists in New Jersey are urged to use caution and watch for possible icing on the roadways from Friday night to Saturday morning. Also, keep an eye out for road crews who may be out-treating the roadways this afternoon and evening.

 

"The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Morris, Sussex, Warren, Hunterdon, and Somerset counties starting 7 p.m. Friday through 9 a.m. Saturday."

 

In addition, the National Weather Service added "Another advisory in Passaic, Bergen, western Essex and western Union counties begins at 9 p.m. Friday through 9 a.m. Saturday."

 

The remainder of New Jersey should look for rain and there could be very rainy conditions throughout this weekend.
