A Lakewood man is accused of flashing himself to a young girl he saw outside of a business on Route 9 in Toms River.

Police responded on Wednesday September 18 to a home in Lakewood for a report of a lewd act taking place in Toms River that evening.

Officers learned that Ronald Banilov, 28, of Lakewood, was stopped in a driveway of a business on Route 9 when he saw a young girl walking along the corridor.

Banilov reportedly asked her for directions and while she stood next to his vehicle he pointed to his lap and allegedly exposed himself to her.

The little girl quickly walked away from the vehicle.

Police say that at no time did Banilov try to lure the girl into his vehicle.

She later provided a description of the vehicle and the license plate to law enforcement.

Banilov was arrested and charged with Lewdness by the Toms River Police Department.

He is due to appear in court at a later date.
