At the objection of animal rights advocates, Lacey Township Council Members vote to enter into a $6-thousand dollar contract with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to capture and kill Canada Geese that have overun a township lake.

The measure approved Thursday night is contingent on a group coming in with a plan in two weeks to collect and relocate them.
