This is just awesome, I saw this on the Lacey Township Chatter Facebook page.

Lacey Township School District just announced they will be doing all virtual school as the kids start the 2020/2021 school year. Like many schools, all virtual means on the computer or chrome book at home and some students do not have one.

Jim Spaloss the owner of ConvexSERV Technology Solutions, LLC in Lacey Township wants to help Lacey students get ready for virtual school once again just like the end of the school year. ConvexSERV Technology Solutions, LLC is located at 118 N. Main Street, Suite 4 (Rt. 9 - In the Village Green Plaza) in Forked River. Their phone number is 609-242-1540.

Jim wrote on the Facebook page: If there are any parents out there that have an old desktop or laptop computer that you would like converted into a Chromebook for virtual learning, we can help you with that. And we’ll do it for free. AMAZING, he said FREE.

They are also accepting donations of old laptops and desktops to be converted to Chrome devices and given out to Lacey students who need them. If there are any business owners who would like to donate computers, they will be recognized as a donor and it's great when local businesses come together and help out the community.

Here are the details for donating computers:
Equipment donations need to be functional, and meet minimum specs to run ChromeOS. Many computers are capable of this, up to about 12 years old.

We have a few desktops that will be available very soon, and hope to have more available as donations come in. (We do not currently have monitors to go with desktops, but will give them away if they are donated.)

If you need a Chrome device for your Lacey student, please stop by or email chrome@convexserv.com. This is for Lacey students, only.

We’ll keep your name on a waiting list if we don’t have anything available.

Please share this post, so they can help as many Lacey students that need a computer for virtual learning.
