Ocean MHS case worker and race organizer Donna Baymond said all proceeds will benefit the non-profit group and its Ocean Cares Foundation. "We have some employees that have started teams for the race. One team is raising money for clothing for people to come and get some clothing that they need. Another team is raising money so children can have gifts under the Christmas tree. Another team is raising money to help clients get blood work done. If you don't have health insurance, blood work can be very costly," she said.

The race is being held rain or shine, Saturday, May 3,1 on the Seaside Park Boardwalk at Stockton Avenue. Same-day registration will be held inside the Saw Mill Cafe from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Pre-registration also is available at www.oceanmhs.org/5k.

The One Mile Fun Run starts at 8:30 a.m. The 5k Run/Walk goes off at 9 a.m.
