Kick Cancer Overboard Fundraiser at Chick-fil-A for 7-Year-Old Brick Girl
Our charitable organizations in Ocean and Monmouth County need our help, here's a great way to help.
Kick Cancer Overboard is an amazing organization that gives FREE CRUISES to people, who have been affected by cancer. Kick Cancer Overboard offers them a break for a few days. The FREE CRUISE can take their minds off cancer, bills, etc. while spending quality time with their family playing bingo or getting a massage.
KCO is having a fundraiser at Chick-fil-A in Brick for 7-year-old cancer warrior Lucia. Lucia was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia at the age of 4.
It was an honor to meet Lucia's Grandmother Ester at a Kick Cancer Overboard Christmas Party I went too, last year. KCO sent Lucia's family on a cruise for free. Ester started making bracelets to help families with their free cruises. It's just amazing how much she has raised and how many families, just like hers, that she helped. From Ester's Facebook page,
Kick cancer overboard sent her family on a free cruise to Bermuda. My granddaughter was looking forward to going on bumper cars. Rock climbing and swimming on the cruise it truly lifted all our spirits!! Instead of thinking of chemo and doctor's appointments, she was dreaming of having FUN. I felt that I had to pay it forward. So I started selling bracelets that I make by hand for $10.00 each. 100% OF THE PROCEEDS GO TO KCO...I started in June 2019. I've raised almost $40,000..awarded 5 families a free cruise to Bermuda.
Kick Cancer Overboard helps organize various local fundraisers, like the one at Chick-fil-A. They help to organize KCO's fundraisers so they can support a specific individual or family. They offer people a great cruise at a reduced price and the more passengers that pay that they book (family members and friends) the more people they can sponsor to travel for FREE.
