Kenny Loggins has had a tremendous career. Like many musicians, he started with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. The band formed in 1966, but he joined the team in 1970. They recorded seven solid albums. During that time, he was also working with Jim Messina. Loggins and Messina had success in the early to mid- 1970s creating popular songs like "Danny's Song", "House at Pooh Corner", and "Your Mama Don't Dance".

Loggins is most known for his solo career and throughout the years, he experienced movie soundtrack success. He worked with the 1976 film A Star Is Born and he received an Academy Award nomination for "Footloose". He has won a Daytime Emmy Award, two Grammy Awards, a Tony Award, and a Golden Globe Award.
