See What’s Happening With The Jersey Shore BlueClaws As They Celebrate 25 Years
This season in Lakewood, the Jersey Shore BlueClaws celebrate their 25th season, and it's been a pleasure being there with them since the beginning!

If you’ve ever been around the Jersey Shore BlueClaws, you know it’s not just baseball, it’s part of summer down the Shore.
They started back in 2001 when a team moved to Lakewood and became the BlueClaws, and they’ve been tied to the Philadelphia Phillies ever since.
I was recently invited to Media Day at ShoreTown Ballpark, the Ocean County home of the Jersey Shore BlueClaws in Lakewood, to see some of the exciting things coming up for the 25th Anniversary of the team.
What's New In 2026 For The Jersey Shore BlueClaws?
I had the pleasure of talking with the Jersey Shore BlueClaws General Manager, Bob McClane, who talked about great family entertainment at ShoreTown Ballpark.
We had a chance to see some of the tasty ballpark food that the BlueClaws will be serving and they have something for everyone!
Be sure to check out the "PLT", it's a Jersey twist featuring pork roll, lettuce, and tomato!
How about a sweet treat right from the boardwalk with "funnel cake fries."
If you want to dine inside at ShoreTown Ballpark there is the Blue Wave Bar which features tasty food and drinks both with or without alcohol.
This season, the BlueClaws have not one, not two, but three "alternate identities," and this is gonna make for some new uniforms, more fun, and more fan experience in 2026!
The BlueClaws' three alternate identity teams this year, in addition to last year's "locals" and "bennies", are the "Pork Rollers", "Beach Badgers", and my personal favorite "Jersey Tomatoes".
While I was at Media Day, there was a chance to meet and talk with the Jersey Shore BlueClaws Head Coach, Mycal Jones, and hear about this year's team.
It was a fun day as the Jersey Shore BlueClaws get set to celebrate their 25th season here in Ocean County at ShoreTown Ballpark in Lakewood.
Greg Giombarrese, Vice President of Communications for the Jersey Shore BlueClaws, told us that they should see the 9 millionth fan visit ShoreTown Ballpark this season! WOW that's huge!
We are involved once again with Homeruns For Heroes, which is a charity benefitting military members and their familes and firsg responders as we team up with the Ocean First Foundation and the Jersey Shore BlueClaws to help local charity organiztions.
