Here’s how it works in simple terms: Players choose five numbers from 1 to 45, and every night a drawing is held to pick the winning numbers. If all five of your numbers match the ones drawn, you win the jackpot. Smaller prizes are also awarded for matching three or four numbers. Additionally, players can add the XTRA option, which multiplies non-jackpot prizes by up to five times.

 

 

According to NJ.com, "The winner bought the ticket through Jackpocket, an online courier, New Jersey Lottery officials said Sunday. The Jersey Cash 5 lottery jackpot was worth $1,822,957."

The Jersey Cash 5 winning numbers for Saturday's drawing were 4202835, and 40, with an XTRA multiplier of X2. The Bullseye number was 40.
