According to their website, "JBJ Soul Kitchen is a non-profit Community Restaurant established by the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation. We serve paying customers and those in-need. If you are unable to pay, we invite you into our restaurant to enjoy a warm meal and learn about volunteering opportunities at JBJ Soul Kitchen. If you can donate, we ask that you make a suggested donation and also Pay it Forward. We provide a dining experience that fosters a sense of community and addresses issues of food insecurity."

According to a press release from JBJ Soul Kitchen, "– JBJ Soul Kitchen, the unique nonprofit Pay It Forward restaurant, is excited to announce the opening of a new pop-up location in Toms River, New Jersey. Located at 101 Washington St, in the Ocean County Library, this temporary café will serve meals to the local community while continuing JBJ Soul Kitchen’s mission of addressing food insecurity. The grand opening will take place on Tuesday, February 11 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM."
