Jackson Township Police Investigate Social Media Post That Referenced School

JACKSON – Jackson Police launched an investigation earlier today that referenced a school in the township.

It is not known what social media platform the post in question was circulating on or the content of the post that prompted the department to launch an investigation.

“It appears to be a copycat of social media incidents which took place in other states over the past year and no connection to Jackson schools or Jackson Township can be confirmed…” Jackson Police said.

Authorities go on to mention that with the information that they have, the post does not appear to be credible.

Officers will be directed to conduct additional patrols at the township schools this week.
