Jackson Township Police are actively investigating an incident of bias intimidation and criminal mischief that took place outside of a home on Daisy Court in the Sixty Acres condo development early this week.

Police said that someone had dumped bags of open garbage across the trunk lid of a 2011 BMW, scratched it in multiple places and inscribed several images onto the vehicle including a skull and then wrote derogatory and racist language near the trunk lid emblem.

A tail light is also now out, the windshield fractured and two tires punctured.

Police believe that this incident took place where the vehicle was parked between 7:00 pm on Sunday evening and 4:30 am on Monday morning when a neighbor observed the damage and notified the vehicle owner.

While officers were on scene Monday morning conducting the investigation, the victim’s landlord approached and said that they heard a voice mail reportedly left by an area resident alleging that there was illegal activity at the victim’s residence and that the landlord should do something about it before the police do.

Anyone with information should contact Jackson Police at 732-928-1111.
