Aaron Rocha will be a freshman at Ohio State University this fall and he got a bit of help with his college expenses this week as the recipient of the WOBM/Gateway Toyota Student of the Week scholarship.

Aaron, who graduated from Jackson Liberty High School in June, was randomly selected from the 38 honorees during the past school year for the $1000 scholarship. He received his award this week at Gateway Toyota in Toms River, which has sponsored the Student of the Week program for 23 years and is returning once again in 2019-20.

Rocha was a member of the National, Science and Mathematics Honor societies while in high school and was a two-time Student Athlete of the Month (Track/Cross Country) and two-time Sportsmanship Award recipient. He also earned the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America and at Ohio State will major in data analytics.

Aaron received $500 each from Gateway Toyota General Manager Rick Cardwell and WOBM Student of the Week program coordinator Kevin Williams at the auto dealership.
