Ventnor Police Department September Activity Report

September proved to be a rather busy month for cops in one municipality in Atlantic County.

The Ventnor City Police Department has released some statistics for last month and one of the biggest problems was vehicle burglaries.

In total, officers with that department answered just over 1,500 calls for service, responded to two dozen domestic violence cases, investigated 16 accidents, and arrested nearly four dozen people.

Key Arrests in September

Some of those arrests included the following:

  • A 56-year-old man from Mays Landing was arrested and charged with shoplifting and drug paraphernalia on September 2nd
  • A 56-year-old man from Mays Landing was charged with receiving stolen property on September 3rd in connection with an incident that happened the month prior
  • A 14-year-old male from Atlantic City was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property on September 11th
  • A 13-year-old male from Atlantic City was arrested and charged with shoplifting and criminal mischief on September 15th
  • A 30-year-old man was arrested and charged with lewdness on September 13th
  • A 31-year-old man from Philadelphia was charged with theft, burglar tools, and conspiracy on September 18th for an incident in August
  • A 34-year-old woman from Philadelphia was charged with credit card theft, fraudulent act, and fraudulent use/credit cards on September 18th
  • A 32-year-old man from Ventnor was charged with credit card theft, fraudulent use/credit cards, and receiving stolen property on September 29th
  • A 54-year-old man from Atlantic City was arrested on September 30th and charged with DWI
  • A 40-year-old woman from Galloway was also charged with DWI on September 30th

The department reported 20 vehicle burglaries in September. Those happened in the following areas:

  • Unit block of South Baton Rouge
  • 100 block North Portland
  • Unit block of North Nashville
  • Unit block North Sacramento
  • 500 block of North Cornwall
  • 200 block of North Melbourne
  • Unit block of South Baltimore
  • 100 block of North Lafayette
  • 100 block of North Troy
  • 100 block of North Portland
  • Unit block of North Baltimore
  • Unit block of North Portland
  • 100 block of South Marion
  • 100 block of North New Haven
  • Unit block of North Swarthmore
  • 7200 block of Ventnor
  • Unit block of North Sacramento
  • Unit block of South Lafayette
  • Unit block of South Wyoming
