
NJ State Troopers, Police Chase 6 Involved in Newark Armed Robbery

Authorities say state troopers from the Somerville and Perryville stations along with officers with the Newark, Tewksbury, and Readington Police Departments collectively apprehended multiple suspects who were involved in an armed robbery.
The scene unfolded around 9:00 Saturday morning, February 3rd, when the Newark Police Department was in pursuit of a vehicle westbound on Interstate 78.
According to the state police, in the area of milepost 25.4 in Tewksbury, Hunterdon County, the vehicle came to a stop and six suspects fled on foot.
After a brief search, with the assistance of [the New Jersey State Police] K-9 and Aviation unit[s], all suspects were apprehended, and a firearm was recovered.
Troopers did not release any information about the robbery nor did they identify any of the six suspects in a social media post Sunday afternoon.
