Crust & Co is Coming to Somers Point: Pizza & Lots of Fresh Ideas

Hey, pizza lovers and anyone who likes good cooking, I have some news about a new restaurant that's coming to Somers Point this spring.

Crust & Co is the name of a restaurant hoping to open soon at 12 E. Maryland Avenue in Somers Point, the former location of Marsini's Kitchen.

Crust & Co Excited to Open in Somers Point

I had the chance to talk with Crust & Co owner Ansi Duka about his plans for his new Somers Point spot. Ansi tells me he is a local with tons of restaurant experience.

He and his partners have an idea to combine a takeout-and-delivery eatery with an eat-in restaurant, with room for 20-25 people inside and more outside in nicer weather.

Crust & Co plans to open for lunch and stay open late to catch the Somers Point's after-bar crowd.

The Food's the Main Attraction at Crust & Co

Ansi Duka gets most excited about Crust & Co when he talks about the food he wants to serve. "We have so many ideas and plans to do things that no one else is doing", says Ansi.

With a name like Crust & Co., we first talked about the pizza, which Ansi says is handmade New York-style, but they will also offer Sicilian pies.

Crust & Co will also serve sweet pizza desserts, using pizza dough or cookie crusts, with customizable toppings.

From there, the menu stretches out to include stuffed chicken, loaded fat wraps, smash burgers, homemade pasta dishes, salads, smoothies and milkshakes, and more.

Timetable for Opening

Crust & Co is excited to get the doors open and get their groove on before the summer season.

Of course, there's always the wild card of the timetable of permitting from the city of Somers Point, but Ansi Duka seems confident shouldn't hold up progress.

Ansi tells me he's begun to move equipment into the space and is shooting to get the doors open in April.
