A Facebook post on Saturday on the Ocean Casino Resort Life page generated considerable interest and talk.

The one-sentence posting said,

"Anyone else just spot Paul McCartney at Ocean?"

Was Paul McCartney in Atlantic City on Saturday?

Only a couple of the people commenting on the post said they were confident that it was Sir Paul they saw at Ocean Casino on Saturday, but others rationalized that it could have been him.

...it was definitely him escorted with a few security peeps

I saw him !

I am the “they” and yes it was definitely him. A few people at the lobby bar saw him as well.

He has a home in Basking Ridge and has been spotted in Asbury Park - I think it's possible he is there!! I hope it was him!

His wife is from NJ and they're here often

No one has responded to our call to Ocean Casino about a Paul McCartney sighting on Saturday.

Reasons Paul McCartney Could Have Been At Ocean Casino

- Paul could have been in Jersey for the weekend with his wife, Nancy Shevell, who grew up in Edison, NJ, and was looking for a fun night out. Maybe a personal friend was having a party at the casino.

- Paul could have been in town for the Kane Brown concert at Boardwalk Hall, but it seems unlikely.

- McCartney might have known some of the musicians playing in the '80s Rock Tour show at Ocean Casino's Ovation Hall. The show featured the music of Foreigner, Asia, and Journey and starred Lou Gramm, John Payne, or Steve Augeri, but that doesn't sound right.

- Paul might have wanted to gamble a little or place a live bet on the Preakness. Hey, you never know, but I wouldn't bet on it.

- Maybe Paul had a craving for a White House Sub, like the one he had when the Beatles played in Atlantic City in 1964.

I don't think this happened, but it's my favorite fantasy reason that Paul McCartney would have traveled to Atlantic City over the weekend.

One Reason Paul McCartney Probably Wasn't at Ocean Casino

- The best reason to doubt that Paul McCartney was at Ocean Casino on Saturday is that there are no photos of his appearance. Come on, these days everyone takes photos of everything.

As one person commented on Facebook, "Until I see pics, I'm not believin'!"

If you have conclusive proof that Paul McCartney was at Ocean Casino on Saturday, let's see it. We would love to validate this very cool rumor.
