The great thing about living in New Jersey is that we do love New Jersey things. And we found a sign that is about as Jersey as it gets.

We've all seen the clever messages on the digital road signs that have been popping up all over the Garden State.

These are public service announcements about driving safely, not driving distracted, and general road safety.

Once in a while, we stumble on one that just outdoes itself, like the one I saw on Route 37 in Toms River recently.

This sign has so much New Jersey in it, that it's hard to believe that it all fits on the sign. It made me laugh out loud.

And it's not just the message on this sign that made me so proud of the Garden State. It's the spelling as well.

In most states the spelling on the sign would have read "forget about it"' but not here in New Jersey.

Nope, in the Garden State, we spell it our special way, so it can be said in our special, New Jersey way. F-U-H-G-E-D-D-A-B-O-U-D-I-T.

The sign could have said "Don't Drive Distracted", but what kind of impact would that have on your typical Garden State driver?

No, all we have to do here in New Jersey is to say, "Driving Distracted? Fuhgeddaboudit!" and that gets the point across just fine.

And the fact that I was distracted by the sign is a conversation for another day. If you think I want to talk about that right now, you can just fuggedaboudit.
