Every time I pass by this one room in my house, it's a reminder that the room isn't being used the way it was originally intended.

Over the years, my dining room has taken on many different roles. When my kids were younder it was more of a playroom. Now, it's more of a shared workspace. My kids do their homework there, I get work done, and my husband uses it for work too.
The one thing we rarely do in our dining room is actually sit down and eat dinner!

It got me thinking, if you're not using your dining room for dining, what are you using it for?
A home office, a playroom, a craft room, or is your dining room table now just a place to store things, and piles of papers just keep getting higher and higher?

I conducted a little unscientific poll to see what New Jerseyans are using their dining room for, and although many did say they're still using it as a traditional dining room, several have found other ways to use that space.
What New Jersey Residents Are Doing With Their Dining Rooms
Many say they're using it as an office, a playroom, a game room, a music room, or a reading room, and one person said a bar.
The bottom line is the dining room is now whatever you want it to be!
