Heading into the summer in New Jersey means there is a ton of great stuff to do with the family on any given weekend.

We've got a ton of farmers' markets that are a must-visit when you're looking for fresh produce and other local goods.

By the way, there's a farmer's market coming to Toms River this year that looks fantastic.

You can read more on that here.

There's also Windward Beach Park in Brick which hosts a farmer's market each Saturday morning throughout the summer.

That's a massive farmer's market which I like because this year, people are able to bring their dogs to walk around the market grounds with them.

Another sure sign that summer is coming is the appearance of local flea markets and craft fairs.

When I was a kid, one of my favorite weekends to visit the shore was during Spinner weekend in Sea Isle City.

It was a massive flea market that ran the length of the Sea Isle Promenade and was always a ton of fun.

There's a flea market and craft fair happening soon in Toms River that not only looks like it'll be a fun day but also goes towards supporting a good cause.

Volunteer firefighters take a risk every time they answer a call to protect our community, and the least we can do is show up when they host great events like this.

The Pleasant Plains Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a craft fair and a flea market this summer that's sure to be a good time.

According to Nancy of the Pleasant Plains Volunteer Fire Department, this year's craft fair and flea market will have an indoor and outdoor component with a ton of local vendors.

The kitchen will be open serving up some grub while you're looking at everything the event has to offer.
