Hurricane Season runs from June 1st through November 30th, and according to NOAA's latest predictions, we're actually in for a pretty quiet season. We have a 35-percent chance of a normal hurricane season, a 10-percent chance of an above-average hurricane season, and a 55-percent chance of a below-normal hurricane season.

Living near the coast, a less-than-average hurricane season is fine by me; anytime we get the winds whipping and the rain pouring, it has the potential to cause some serious damage to coastal towns. So the fewer storms we have to worry about, the better.
