How do you feel about going to the hardware store? When I was younger, I always dreaded it. It meant that my dad and I were going to start some project around the house, or the yard, that I really didn't feel like doing. I was 9, give me a break.

Now, as a homeowner myself, going to the hardware store is pretty fun, and I get why my dad would end up at a Home Depot two or three times over the course of a weekend. Since moving to Ocean Gate, I've become pretty acquainted with the Ace Hardware in Bayville.
ACE Hardware Keeps The Local Hardware Vibe Alive In NJ
It's the closest hardware store to my house, and honestly, they have pretty competitive prices, which is always a plus. And nothing against Home Depot or Lowe's, because we go there a lot when we need lumber, drywall, or something in bulk, but there's just something about going to an Ace Hardware that reminds me of going to the local hardware store when I was a kid.

You walk into an ACE, and are right away greeted with a hello, and how can I help you? And personally, I like that a lot.

It's also nice to see that ACE Hardware is expanding in Ocean County, with a new store just opening in Toms River off 37.
A grand opening is coming in March, according to Patch, but you can now shop at Toms River's newest ACE Hardware at 301 Route 27. And what you may not know about ACE is that they do a lot to support our local community.
ACE Gives Back To The Local NJ Community
In particular, ACE is a supporter of the Children's Miracle Network, and donations stay local to help with children's medical bills.
