It’s Time To See The Beautiful Cherry Blossoms in New Jersey at Branch Brook Park🌸
If you have never taken a day trip to Essex County, New Jersey to see the annual cherry blossom festival, then you are missing out on seeing a beautiful time of year here in the Garden State. Every year from late March to early May the annual blossoms are out and it is a site to be seen. I had never seen this spectacle until recently and I was amazed that this park here in New Jersey had such a display of beautiful Japanese Cherry Blossoms.
According to the Branch Brook Park Alliance, this beautiful park in Essex County is home to "over 5,300 Japanese Flowering Cherry Blossom Trees in 18 varieties." If you are not familiar with Branch Brook Park, it's located in Newark, New Jersey and each spring thousands visit this park to see the cherry blossoms in person of course put on comfortable walking shoes and bring your camera! The best time of year to view the cherry blossoms in New Jersey is between late March and early May.
When is Bloomfest at Branch Brook Park?
The annual Bloomfest festival is happening this year (2024) on Sunday, April 14th. The event runs from 11 am to 5 pm and is FREE. According to their website "Enjoy a family day in New Jersey’s pinkest park! A packed schedule of events includes Japanese cultural demonstrations, children's activities, live music, a crafter's marketplace, food and more!"
