Recently I was at the Ocean County Mall on Hooper Avenue in Toms River when I noticed a new area marked off for future construction. The site is behind Boscovs and is across from the Seacourt Pavilion.

This site is now being eyed for a new business here in Toms River and with the location here at the Ocean County Mall it looks to be a very visible location with a lot of traffic in and out of the area.

As you can see from the billboard, this location looks to put a 12,000 square foot building in this spot. So obviously it’s not a huge site, but perfect for a smaller one unit location. The question is now, what might be coming to this location adjacent to the Ocean County Mall?

I do not have any official intel, but a hunch. Is this possibly the future site for the first ever Chick-Fil-A here in Toms River? This would be a great spot because of the Ocean County Mall Traffic and would pair perfectly with a day of shopping at the mall.

Currently we only have one Chick-Fil-A operating in Ocean County, in Brick Township, with another under construction in Southern Ocean County in Manahawkin. So I’m wondering if this is the next restaurant here in Ocean County? It would make sense to me, but again I am only speculating

What do YOU think? Good location or a hard pass? We would love to hear YOUR comments, post them below and we’ll see if YOU find this as good a match as I do…and maybe I’m wrong, maybe it’s not a no brainer?
